A Journey Forged Through Skill, Calling, and Redemption
Redemption Metal started as a small dream inside a garage. My name is Zach Carter, and I’ve worked in the trades most of my life. For years I served as a lineman for Sacramento Municipal Utility District. The work was steady, but the long hours away began pulling me away from my family and the life I wanted to build.
Welding had always been a passion—something that blended problem-solving, craftsmanship, and creativity. I began taking on small welding jobs out of the garage: trailer repairs, brackets, and custom one-off pieces. That grew into bigger opportunities, including transforming two shipping containers into welcome centers for my church. That project lit a fire.
In 2021, during what I jokingly called a “weeklong sabbatical,” but what was really a season of personal chaos, God met me in a way that changed everything. I was walking through divorce, job loss, and a complete reset. That week became the beginning of real redemption in my life.
In November 2022, God moved our family from Cameron Park, CA to Lebanon, Tennessee. Welding remained a side job until July 2023, when I opened my full-time Gallatin shop under the name “Stackin Dimes LLC.” Over the next year, God refined my character and made one thing unmistakably clear: The business needed a new name.
When it finally clicked, I understood. My life is a story of redemption. And this business should reflect that. That’s when Redemption Metal was born.
Today, Redemption Metal is a place where craftsmanship, faith, and purpose meet. We build metalwork that lasts, we serve clients with integrity, and we use our skills to create opportunities—both in the trades and in the community.
